Meet the Cowboy

Yeehaw! Meet Cowboy, the ultimate Renaissance man with a life more eventful than a rodeo ride gone wrong!

It all started on April 2, 1968, when Cowboy strummed his first guitar chords (literally, after just three months of lessons). He was only 13 and already playing gigs like a pro... or at least, that's what the Phoenix Jaceeys pre-rodeo function thought.

Fast-forward to age 17, when Cowboy enlisted in the Army for a decade-long rodeo of his own. He spent seven years in Germany, one year in Viet-Nam, and rocked out with various service bands (and even a German band - prost!).

After leaving the military, Cowboy traded his rifle for a graphic sign company, earning two master's degrees in herpetology and computer science along the way. When he wasn't designing signs or building computers, he was flying high as the proud owner of a private plane.

But life had other plans... In 1989, tragedy struck when Cowboy lost his wife and 17-month-old son in a plane crash (yes, it was piloted by his father-in-law - talk about a family drama!). He took a break from music, sold his business, and became a paramedic/firefighter/Rescue Scuba Diver Instructor in northern Arizona.

After six years of saving lives and fighting fires, Cowboy donned a different uniform as a law enforcement officer and school teacher. Yes, that's right - the man who rocked out with the "Feather River Band" was also teaching science to middle-schoolers! He had a 13'-8" Burmese Python Snake in the Classroom.

In 1992, Cowboy got some well-deserved recognition when he was inducted into the United States Achievement Academy for his musical talents and teaching abilities (because who doesn't love a multi-talented cowboy?).

The early 2000s saw Cowboy trading in his classroom for the open road as he started touring with the "Feather River Band" once again. After three years of rocking out, he married his long-time girlfriend (and sound engineer) and settled down... until she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphomic Blastic Leukemia in 2012 and passed away shortly after..

Today, Cowboy resides in BC, Canada with his new wife Gail, playing those instruments like a boss, and enjoying hobbies like taxidermy, fishing, archery (national pro), roller skating (4-star rating, y'all!), building radio-controlled aircraft, flying planes, and... well, you get the idea. This cowboy's got more strings to his bow than a guitar has frets!

So if you ever find yourself in Northern Arizona, ask about Cowboy's fishing guide in a store near you - and if your anywhere in BC Canada, don't forget to bring your dancing shoes for some real shenanigans!
